The Rock and Fossil Clinic event restarted on October 1, 2022 after an absence of 2 ½ years due to COVID-19 closures. This year the clinic was Province- wide and organized by APEGA. Gus Van Heusden was on-site at CRESRC talking about his collection of rocks, fossils, minerals and artifacts as at previous clinics. Greg Cave drove Gus from Calgary and helped with the discussion of the collection. There were only a small number of visitors (16) but we had lengthy interactions. Greg indicated that he would be interested in helping CRESRC over the next months to capture Gus’s stories about each of his rocks.
