Roving Scientist Program

The summer Roving Scientist program is a partnership with the Canmore Museum and Geoscience Centre. Staff and/or volunteers set up a small table and some posters and rock samples about the local area at several locations around Canmore (at Grassi lakes or at the railroad bridge) on Saturdays and Sundays weather permitting. They talk about the geology of the mountains and also about the animal and plant life in the area. CRESRC staff contributed 27 hours over 7 days to the joint program. This included 567 interactions with the general public.
